FTMM General Assembly 2025: A Year of Recovery and Strengthening of the FTMM-ATTP Partnership

The Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Moldova concluded the year 2025 with an Ordinary General Assembly held on 16 November, during which the annual results were presented and important decisions were adopted to strengthen the stability and modernise the governance of the federation. With an unprecedented historical quorum, the members present approved all items on the agenda and confirmed the legitimacy of the internal reform process initiated mid-year.

The central point of the meeting was the presentation of the Annual Activity Report, which confirmed that 2025 was a period of institutional reconstruction: the resumption of dialogue with national and international bodies, a record number of meetings of the Administrative Council, the restoration of internal legality, and a noticeable increase in sporting results. The main success, of course, was the national team’s qualification for the Round of 16 at the European Championships in Zadar and, consequently, securing a place at the 2026 World Championships in London - clear proof of the steady technical progress of Moldovan table tennis.

Particular attention was devoted to strengthening cooperation between FTMM, ATTP and TOP CUP Academy. The members of the Assembly highlighted the significant impact of the Super Cup ATTP, Setka Cup and Super League tournaments on the growth in the number of athletes, the increased competitive rhythm, and the federation’s rising international visibility. The year 2026 will be the first in which the Federation will benefit from an unprecedented volume of competitive activity, largely provided and financed by its partners, demonstrating the maturity and capability of ATTP to support the real development of the sport.

For the ATTP community, this General Assembly confirms that the path to modernising table tennis lies through cooperation, professionalism and mutual trust. Strengthening the relationship between FTMM and ATTP is becoming a key factor in both sporting and institutional development, and 2026 is shaping up to be the stage on which the advantages of this partnership will be more evident than ever.
